Shining a glow-stick on Coomera

By Rachel Devery

There is something magical about relaxing with family and friends on a cosy picnic blanket, singing ‘oh holy night’ as glow-sticks sway slowly under the starry sky. It’s that time of year when families come together, and communities are enveloped in a sea of lights, music, and Christmas cheer at the local carol’s events held across the northern Gold Coast. This year the City of Gold Coast is going all out at the ‘Carols in Coomera’, and the team at the Ray White Catanzariti Family Group can’t wait to share the Christmas spirit with those that they are proud to serve in the Coomera community.

The much-anticipated event is being held this Saturday 17th of December at the Coomera Sports Park on Beattie Road. Kicking off at 4.30pm, the free festive event is expected to host over 1200 locals whose families are all hoping to sing their hearts out, and even catch a glimpse of the big man himself! Local choirs and artists will lead the crowd in all the Christmas classics, there will also be a special children’s show to entertain all of the little elves in the community. Local food trucks and purveyors of all-things-sweet will be there to offer some delicious food and Christmas favourites, and they are looking forward to the support of the Coomera community.

Events like these present a great opportunity to reflect on our lives and truly appreciate where it is that we call home. The spirit among the Coomera community has really soared over the past decade, with the suburb becoming Queensland’s premier adventure hub, all founded in the importance of locals and family.
With so much expansion in infrastructure in Coomera, local homeowners and investors are reaping the benefits of laying roots in the area. According to realestate.com, the median house price in Coomera went up 17 per cent in the last 12 months. The suburb saw the sale of 406 properties this year, with Ray White Catanzariti Family Group alone, netting more than a quarter of those sales.

Should you require any advice about buying, selling, or investing in Coomera, please contact the Ray White Catanzariti Family Group and speak to one of our Coomera specialists; our team are locals too, and can offer expert local advice.

The team is looking forward to sharing in and enjoying the Coomera Carols; we hope that the community and families emerge from the event feeling closer, hopeful and with not too many sugar-loaded sore tummies.
