With many Queensland franchisee owners facing challenging times in recent years, the Gold Coast Bulletin took a look at those ‘empire builders’ who thrived.
Despite a difficult two years during the Covid-19 pandemic, much of the franchisee sector in Queensland managed to stay afloat with many savvy business owners actually turning their trepidation into motivation and pushing their businesses to the next level.
One of those business owners was Peter Catanzariti of the Ray White Catanzariti Family Group, who was named by The Bulletin as one of the top 60 empire builders in the sunshine state after experiencing what they referred to as ‘tremendous growth’ .
Queensland’s top performing businesses over the past few years are a mixed bag of franchisees including, McDonald’s, 7-Eleven, PoolWerx, Battery World, Zaraffa’s, Mister Minit and Baker’s Delight. Among them, leading the way in the real estate sector is The Ray White Catanzariti Family Group.
With an insightful eye for the boom-potential of the northern Gold Coast, Peter founded The Ray White Catanzariti Family Group in 2018 from a single office in Upper Coomera. Despite the pandemic, Catanzariti’s real estate business quickly expanded across another 3 leading Ray White offices, with branches popping up in Pimpama, Coomera and Jacobs Well.
While Peter is grateful to be recognised as an empire builder, and admits that he loves what he does, he firmly believes that the success of his business is attributable to his team.
‘It’s nice to be mentioned but what it doesn’t mention is the unbelievable team that makes it all possible. It’s not an empire, it’s a family business, and that’s what makes it successful’.
