Construction of the new Bim’Bimba Park in Pimpama is now underway

The construction of the new Bim’Bimba Park in Pimpama is now well underway, with completion expected to be complete by the end of 2019. The $7.5 million development will be five hectares in size and will feature a shaded BBQ and picnic area, a shaded playground, balance play equipment, climbing ropes, outdoor tables and a tennis table, a kick and play area, a basketball half-court, climbing tower, slides and skate ramps. Bim’Bimba is an Indigenous name which translates to “Place of The Soldier Bird”.

The Bim’Bimba park will be located in the highly sought after Gainsborough Greens estate and in addition to the top quality playground equipment, the park will also include a three kilometre footpath, 30,000 plants, 50 car spaces, night time lighting and CCTV. Councillor Donna Gates has said that the development of the park is progressing well with the skate park now complete and the footpaths in place.

Peter Catanzariti, the principal of the Ray White Upper Coomera office is looking forward to the completion of the park, stating that “The Bim’Bimba park will be an outstanding addition for Pimpama residents. With so many fantastic facilities, the park will be perfect for family BBQs and picnics. We are so lucky to live on the Northern Gold Coast where there are so many amazing developments unfolding”.
